Rondo Shaw St. George, Utah Our beloved husband, father and PaPa, Rondo Nord Shaw, slept peacefully into the next life Thursday, July 13, 2006, after a long courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren at his bedside. He was born June 2, 1941 to Richard Lynn Shaw and Fern Larsen Nordfelt in Aurora, UT. He was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to Anna LaRee Tolman August 9, 1963. He was called to the North British Mission in 1960 then transferred to the Scottish/Irish Mission. In 1962, he was transferred to the newly organized Irish Mission under President Stephen R. and Sandra Covey. He had a special love for the Irish Saints and returned several times since his mission. He has been a faithful member of The Shamrock Society for over 42 years. The Shamrock Society has supported several Irish Saints to serve missions that would otherwise not have the opportunity. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He served as counselor in the Bishopric and High Counselor in the Taylorsville Stake. He especially loved working with the youth and in the athletic programs. He had a love for all sports, especially basketball, baseball, and volleyball. He was the "spark plug" of the basketball team at North Sevier High School. He loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with his family. Rondo was an exceptionally talented young man. Growing up in a large family, on a farm taught him the values of hard work. He was co-owner of Bonanza Construction and Supreme Carpets for many years. He was admired and respected by those that knew him in Salt Lake City and Saint George most recently in the floor covering business. Rondo's greatest pride and passion was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna LaRee Tolman Shaw; six children, Rhonda Ann Shedrick, Peoria, AZ, Selena Marie (Jeff Ashment), St. George, Ut, Heather LaRee, (Mike Lofthouse), Chandler, AZ, Clinton Rondo Shaw (Deidre), St. George, Ut, Monica Leigh Shaw, Scottsdale, AZ, Hillary Dawn (Aaron Torres), Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren, Halie LaRee, Colton Jeffrey, Timothy Jr, Trey Alexander, Alexander Jacob, Kaitlyn Marie, Austin Michael, Garret Curtis, Morgan Ashley, Madison Denise, Braydee Clinton, Abram Aaron. Proceeded in death by his parents, Richard Lynn Shaw and Fern Larsen Nordfelt; four brothers, Reed, Kendall, Rance, and Brian Shaw; and son-in-law, Timothy E. Shedrick. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dixie Cancer Clinic and staff, Dr. Ray Richards, Dr. Craig McCune, Dr. Joseph Te and Dr. Bradley Root. Their staff's have been incredibly supportive the past 5 years. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 16, 2006, 7:00 p.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 Bluff St., St. George, UT with a viewing 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. prior to the service. An additional funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 18, 10:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Stake Center, 1400 W. 4800 S. There will be a viewing Monday, July 17th, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again one hour prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will take place at the Taylorsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S.
