Beloved husband & righteous father, Melvin Grant Wilson, passed away peacefully at home March 22, 2013 from causes incident to age. Born June 20, 1934 in Panguitch, Utah to James Grant & Elva Roundy Wilson.
Attended Salt Lake City schools & BYU; missionary in Central Atlantic States; US Army Intelligence; Temple worker & Baptistry Supervisor; Bishop, High Councilor; Entrepreneur, Real Estate Broker & Developer. Married by Elder LeGrand Richards to his Eternal Companion Rosemary Ellis December 9, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Survived by his sweetheart, and 10 children, Tamara Nixon, Bonnie (Paul) Searing, Grant (Amy) Wilson, Kent (Jenn) Wilson, David (Amy) Wilson, Jared Wilson, Stephen (Amber) Wilson, Melanie (David) Gartner, Joel Wilson and Glen Wilson; 24 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Gene and JoAnn Lyman, Marilyn Wilson, Jeril (Suzanne) Wilson, Ross (Tamzon) Wilson, Jim (Linda) Wilson, Alice (Bud) Clegg, Connie (Rob) Carrier. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Arlene (Lyman); brothers, Roger & Richard Wilson.
A Viewing will be held Tuesday, March 26th from 6-8 p.m. at the Rock Canyon Chapel, 2445 North Timpview Drive (650 East), Provo. Funeral Services will also be held at the church on Wednesday, March 27th at 12:00 Noon with a Viewing held prior from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Interment in Taylorsville Memorial Park Cemetery, 4585 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT.
