Obituary

Lawrence "Larry" Eugene Haskell, age 84, died Friday, June 8, 2001 in Tooele.

Born Sept 29, 1916 in Brewer, Maine, where he lived until he was 19 years old. He then left home to seek his fortune. After traveling west he ended up in Salt Lake City, where he met and married Irene A. Smith on Feb 4, 1939. Their mar-riage was later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct 30, 1944.

Larry loved sports and was always involved either playing or coaching. In his later years, he just enjoyed watching his New York Yankees. Larry started his employment at the Refine Oil Company. He then worked at the Utah State Prison and after eight years, left to work for the Granite School District until his retirement.

He is survived by his six sons: Eugene, Richard, Phillip, Craig, Terry and Kevin; 26 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in

death by his wife; infant sister; and a brother.

Funeral services will be Wed, 12 noon, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S Redwood Rd, where friends may call Tues, 6-8 p.m., and again Wed, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
