Kirt Lanney Soderquist 1939 ~ 2007 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away at home June 10, 2007 surrounded by his family. He was born October 22, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alvin and Delila Mosgen Soderquist. Married to Marilyn Gilbert December 16, 1960. They were married for 34 years and had nine children; later divorced. Married Ruth Pryor Olsen July 11, 1997. Kirt was a member of the Air National Guard Reserves. He worked as a licensed marriage and family therapist for the State of Utah and private practice for 33 years. Active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings. Enjoyed coaching and playing athletics, the outdoors and helping people. Survived by his wife, Ruth; nine children; five stepchildren; four brothers; 51 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday, June 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Taylorsville 38th Ward, 4310 South 3200 West. A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from the hours of 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Wednesday, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with funeral costs.
