Obituary

On June 1, 2003 Glade Kenneth Christensen left us to be with his Mother, Father and Grandpa Blackham.

Born December 2, 1930 to Kenneth Ernest Christensen and Elva Arletta Blackham in Moroni, Utah.

Married for 52 years to Maxine Ann Condie. They were married on October 31st, 1950 in Ely, Nevada. Solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 24, 1981. Remained a resident of Taylorsville, Utah for 50 years. While driving truck and delivering feed for Fur Breeders, he learned his profession in electrical and electronics through correspondence school. He was sole proprietor of Chris Electronics from 1954 until his retirement in 1995. He was employed by Granite School District Electronics Department from 1963 until his retirement in 1995. He earned, deserved and carried the title of a Master Electrician and an Electronics Technician. He was Ward Clerk for 11 years and served under five bishops. He loved gardening and took great pride in how his yard looked and was displayed. He was a good friend and neighbor to many in his area. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survived by his wife, Maxine; son's and daughter, Alan (Vickie), Brent (Robin), Craig (Debbie), Annette (Robert) Pieper, Jay (Tori-Lynne); sister, Coleen Ashworth of Las Vegas, Nv.; brother, Gary; stepmother, Elaine Christensen of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, 12 noon, at the Taylorsville 9th and 19th Ward LDS Church, 2030 West Chateau Avenue. Friends and family may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and at church Friday, 11-11:45. Interment: Taylorsville Cemetery
