In Loving Memory
Kathy H. Beach, 58, passed away after her battle with Early Onset Alzheimer's on March 22, 2O14 at Legacy House of Taylorsville. She was the third child of Walter and Shirley Hartman. Kathy was born on the Ellington Air Force Base in Texas and followed in her father's footsteps by serving in the Air Force for six years active duty and 16 years as a reserve officer. She retired from the reserves as a captain and worked for ATK for 24 years before retiring due to a medical condition.
Kathy graduated from Warren County Township High School in Illinois in 1973 and graduated from Brigham Young University In 1983 in Computer Graphics Engineering. Kathy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary as a teacher and Primary President. She also served with her husband as Webelos and Blazer Leaders.
Kathy worked as a LAN administrator and other IT duties for Alliant Tech Systems. She loved her job at ATK and the people she worked with. She enjoyed working with computers, electronic gadgets and loved photography. Kathy cherished getting together with her family and going camping. She would always be out with her PDA, organizing her schedule as time management was always on her mind. She enjoyed life and was a true people's person. She would always say she would do anything for a Coke and called it the nectar of the gods. Kathy, we love you and will miss you greatly.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley, and her brother, David. Kathy is survived by her husband, Gary, of 28 years and their four children: Mike (Jess Nielsen) of Murray; Jessica (Nate Warburton) of Vernal, Danielle and Boomer. She has two beloved granddaughters, Chloe Beach and Kiera Warburton. She is also survived by her siblings; Stephen Hartman, Barbara Hartman, Roberta Hartman, Tracy Paquette and her father Walter Hartman.
We would like to thank Legacy House of Taylorsville for the care they gave to Kathy during her final illness.
Viewing will be at the Berninia LDS Chapel 3045 west Bernina Drive (5820 South) at 9:30am and a memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday the 29th. She will be buried at the Taylorsville Cemetery.
