"Bill"

Frederick William Leaver, age 62, died November 11, 2003 in Taylorsville, Utah after a courageous battle with liver cancer.

Born June 18, 1941 in San Francisco, California, son of Fred Hartlett and Daryl Vissing Leaver. Married Sandra Musch Leaver February 27, 1965 in Ely, Nevada; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Active member of the LDS Church where he served in the Elders Quorum and on the Stake High Council. He enjoyed genealogy work and loved to fish and joke. He touched many lives with his inspiring spirit. He was a wonderful teacher, friend, husband, father and great-grandfather.

Survived by wife, Sandra; son, Michael William "Mike" Leaver, West Valley City; daughter, Alisha Ann (Travis) Bristol, Taylorsville; grandchildren, Skyler James Stewart, Cody Fresquez, Miranda Ashley Gallegos, Jessie Lynn Leaver, Kye Lawrence Marasco-Leaver; brother, Robert Vissing (Catherine) Leaver, Monroe, Utah. Preceded in death by sister, Lynda Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., Taylorsville 3rd Ward, 1457 West Atherton Drive (4625 South). Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
