Obituary

Emma Lorraine Childress Johnson 3/18/1922 ~ 3/6/2006 Emma Lorraine Childress Johnson passed away, March 6, 2006, at the age of 83. She was born to William Gedge Spencer and Vera Roselin Benson in Salt Lake City and later adopted by Joseph Lewis Childress and Emma Sophia Benson. She graduated from Cypress High School in Bacchus, Utah. Lorraine married Wayne E. Johnson on November 8, 1942. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1977. Lorraine served a part time mission for the LDS Church at the Family History Center and worked 13 years in the TIB. She is survived by a sister, Jacqueline Nielson, daughter, Bonnie Conrad, and son, Glenn Johnson, as well as six grandchildren and 16 great-grand-children. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Lee Ward Chapel, 3805 South Main, Salt Lake City, Utah at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior to services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Taylorsville Cemetery.
