David Bills Together Again David Todd Bills Papa , beloved father and grandfather returned home to his Heavenly Father and loved ones, March 10, 2012. Dave was born August 22, 1930 and raised in Riverton and lived in Salt Lake City. He married Joan May Monteer on June 26, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He honorably filled many callings including High Priest and gospel doctrine teacher and was a veil worker at the Salt Lake Temple for 18 years. He loved working with his hands and was the person everyone counted on when they needed something fixed. In the late 1950's he worked at Hill AFB servicing cameras and other electronic equipment. In 1961 he graduated from the Emil Fries School of Piano Technology for the Blind ( Piano Hospital) and operated a successful piano tuning and repair service for 30 years. In recent years he provided the only Braille writer repair service available in Utah. He is survived by his daughters: Kaylene (Gene) Thomson, Sharon (Karl) Smith, Laura (Chris) Hathaway; Jannis (Neal) Spencer, Christine (Curtis) Knudsen; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers: Jack Bills and retired Army Colonel Ray Bills and many other family members and friends who felt like family who love and will miss him. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan May Monteer; mother Cecelia Mason Bills; father Lancelot bills; sisters: Dorothy, Jerry Clara, Ruth, Judy; brother: Ned and granddaughter: Karissa Dawn Smith. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Gardens 1st Ward, 4252 South Bennion Road ( 1950 West). Friends may call Friday 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to funeral services. Interment, Taylorsville City Cemetery. Dave has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Golden Dawn Adoption Assistance Inc. at http://www.goldendawnaa.org, a foundation providing grants to families adopting children with special needs, founded in memory of his granddaughter Karissa, or to the School of Piano Technology for the Blind at http://www.pianotuningschool.org.
