Obituary

David George Evans, 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 5, 1999.David was born November 7, 1917, in Hatch, Utah, to Edward William Evans and Mary Elizabeth Larson. He was the third born of fourteen children. David married Lora LaFawn Jensen, August 8, 1938. He was a member of the LDS Church. David is remembered by his children as being a good provider, who had a very strong work ethic. He was honest, hard working, and loved associating and interacting with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, bowling, and country music and had a love for ice cream, nuts and chocolate.

David is survived by his children: Joann (Larry) Johnson, Richard (Patricia) Evans, Kathy (Alan) Rigby, and Karen (Niel) Burk, 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Heber Evans, Brigham Evans, Sarah Knudsen, and Edith Simpson. He is preceded in passing by his wife, Lora LaFawn, and his son, David Larry.

Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Friday September 10, 1999 at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street. A Graveside service will be held September 11, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Taylorsville Memorial Park, 4600 S. Redwood Rd.
