Obituary
Alan Earl Woolsey, our beloved brother, was released from his physical struggles of life on July 16, 2020. He was born January 14, 1958 in Salt Lake City and was raised and attended schools in Kearns, Utah.
He was active in scouting, and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He was a dedicated fan of the Utah Jazz and idolized the coaches and players. He was gifted in recalling games, scores, and facts about the players and coaches. He also remembered many birthdates and names of friends and family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing board games. He served an LDS mission in the Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Mission. He was married to Denise Grasteit (divorced).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Lasca (Munson) Woolsey and his sister, Dorothy (Woolsey) Willis. His surviving siblings include Jillynn (Woolsey) White, Dale Woolsey, Annette (Woolsey) Despain, Gordon Woolsey and Brian Woolsey.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home located at 4760 South State Street, Murray. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Cemetery located at 4575 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville.
