Obituary

Katelyn Larson Cheshire passed through the veil into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on the morning of September 1, 2022. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Katie was born on October 19, 1992 in Salt Lake City to Kent Garth and Tresa Larsen Larson. She married her sweetheart Spencer Clark Cheshire in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on May 16, 2015. They were rarely seen apart and had a love that is only seen in fairytales.

You won’t meet a sweeter, more thoughtful person than Katie. She was so full of love for everyone around her and was always willing to put other people before herself. Even with all the health struggles that she had, she rarely complained and fought through the pain with strength and integrity. She was so enthusiastic about life and always turned her pain into art. Katie was known for her artistic skills in drawing, cake decorating, singing, acting, makeup, designing costumes, playing the cello, and being the best witch that anyone could ask for. She loved unconditionally and spent her life trying to express that love to everyone she came in contact with.

Katie’s favorite time of year was Halloween along with all the spooky things that came with it. You often saw her watching her favorite Halloween movies and horror movies throughout the entire year (even during Christmas too)! She truly was a queen of Halloween and loved everything that the season brought. Our heart aches that she won’t be able to experience the season this year, so we ask that you celebrate extra hard in her honor.

Katie is survived by her husband Spencer, her parents Kent and Tresa Larson, and her siblings Megan, Benjamin and Matthew.

Among those who were waiting to embrace Katie on the other side were her grandmothers, Natalie Knight Larson and Linda Hintze Larsen, her cousin, Kelvyn James Swope, and the mother-in-law that she wished she knew in this life, Kim Clark Cheshire.
