Obituary
Our Beloved Pastor, Reverend Alejandro Velasquez peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home in Centerville, Utah.
Pastor Alejandro Velasquez was born on February 28, 1952, in San Miguel, El Salvador, to Santos Perez and Adela Velasquez.
At the age of 16, Pastor Alejandro encountered the Lord Jesus Christ. This life-changing experience led him to dedicate his life to serving our Lord and guiding others to know Him. In 1971, he met his wife, Maria Alicia Rodriguez, with whom he married and had five children: Isaac Velasquez, David Jonathan Velasquez, Alejandro Velasquez Jr., Dina Gloria Flores, and Anthony Gudiel Velasquez.
Throughout the years, Pastor Alejandro touched countless lives. His wisdom, compassion, and dedication reached deep into the hearts of those who knew him. His love for others gave him strength in the face of adversity and life's challenges. He always had words of encouragement, comfort, and wise counsel for those in need.
As a father, he was loving and compassionate, guiding his children in the knowledge of the Gospel and teaching them compassion and love for others. As a man, he endured great loss, including the passing of his beloved wife in 2002 and his eldest son, Isaac, in 2019. Yet, he remained a pillar of strength and faith for his family and his community.
There are not enough words to begin to describe Pastor Alejandro. He was always thinking of others and never hesitated to help. Even when his health declined, he carried a kind and positive spirit that uplifted and connected with people in meaningful ways.
Pastor Alejandro Velasquez dedicated his life to serving God in his homeland of El Salvador, working as a missionary and a pioneer of many ministries. In 1979, he moved to the United States, where he continued serving the Lord for many years in Los Angeles, California. In 1994, he and his family relocated to Utah, where he lived and faithfully worked in God's service until his final day. He was deeply loved by many, and his memory will be cherished forever.
Pastor Alejandro Velasquez was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Alicia Velasquez; his son, Isaac Velasquez; his father, Santos Perez; his sister, Silvia Velasquez; and his granddaughter, Alicia Micaela Flores.
