Obituary

On Sunday Morning, August 20, 2023, KaLynn laid her earthly pain-stricken body down and returned to be with family that has gone before her for their reunion.

KaLynn was born April 18, 1959, to Donald Earl and Betty Jean (Reeves) Farnsworth in Heber City, Utah. Their family moved to Taylorsville when KaLynn was very young. There, she grew up with good friends that she still kept in touch with to this day. She attended Taylorsville Elementary, Valley Junior High for two years, then Eisenhower Junior High for 9th grade, and finished her schooling at Cottonwood High School, graduating in 1977.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her most fond memories of her church callings was being the nursery leader. She cherished the time she spent with the kids and loved getting ready each week to be with them.

She married Richard D. Ninow on August 29, 1994, and on May 9, 1998, KaLynn and Richard were sealed in the Jordan River Temple, and were lucky enough to have a good family friend perform the sealing.

Most of KaLynn's work experience was in both the dental and orthodontic fields where she loved working with all the kids.

When KaLynn was younger she loved to swim and ski and, from what I understand, torture her younger brother. She was a very good dancer when it came to the swing, and that was back in the early 1980s before her accident.

But after she had a terrible accident in the 1980s her body suffered a lot of pain and she endured many surgeries, and later in life those came back to haunt her, along with her severe headaches.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, son Ryan Pahl (Randi), step-daughter Ambree Reynolds (Cliff), step-son Calvin Ninow (Bre), and step-son Bryson Ninow. With a total of 13 grandkids, KaLynn also had many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews that loved her, and she most definitely loved them.

Both her parents and her little girl preceded her in death.

A reception for family and friends will take place Monday, August 28, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. There will be a short viewing Tuesday morning from 10:00 - 10:45 am followed by the funeral service at the Taylorsville Gardens First Ward Building located at 4252 South Bennion Road (1915 West), Taylorsville, Utah.
