"Expecting Father"
I have been called Michael, Mikey, Mike and Todd, the most favorable was Mike. His wife and family liked to call him Mikey. Michael, at his passing, was 23, born June 16, 1989 in Taylorsville, UT to Ken and Shirlene Egbert. He died at his home October 1, 2012 with his wife at his side. I will miss my sweet, loving companion who has sacrificed much to comfort me and make my life a happy one. In life I have found great satisfaction in being creative and loved being an artist. I hope my coming son will make his way in the world and will watch over his dear mother. I hope you can remember me as my body was before I was stricken with cancer, not the way it was when I left this life. Someday I will be back to normal.
Michael and Meisha were married and sealed for time and all eternity October 9, 2010 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Michael served in various callings in the LDS Church and was active in the gospel his whole life. He was an Eagle Scout, a hard working, loving person and will go and do as the Lord commands.
He is survived by his wife; parents; siblings: Megan (John) Simper, Lindsey (Scotty) Ebert, Kara, Ben, K. Jordan. Preceded in death by brothers: Preston, Cameron and Mark; many grandparents; 2 uncles.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at the Copperview 1st Ward, 12154 South 3600 West. Viewings will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 12-12:45 p.m. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
