Obituary

Our dad, Bill peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alta and Rupert Thomas. He attended and graduated from Granite High School. Our dad married the love of his life, Lucy on June 21, 1957, in Murray, Utah, they were married for 66 years.

Bill loved construction work; he was very knowledgeable in all things construction. He loved using the backhoe and then became a superintendent for many years. He ended his career with Staker Parsons.

Dad loved his family. He supported his wife and children in all their activities. In his spare time, he loved gardening, golfing, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, camping, and fishing.

Bill will always be remembered for his strength, love of family, and his great sense of humor. Until we meet again you will always be in our hearts.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lucy Ann Kunz; his daughters; Debbie Orr (Scott); Terry Fullmer; Jeanne Smith (Colin); Jamie Neslen (Glenn); his son Billy Thomas (Korie); his sister Jane Myberg, his 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his father Rupert, his mother Alta, his son Russell, and great- grandson Maddox. What a wonderful reunion they are having now.

The family would like to thank their wonderful neighbors and friends for all your loving support.

A viewing for Bill will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Services will conclude at the Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4567 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123 for the graveside dedication.
